As founder of Sankofa Praxis, LLC, Iyanifa Adeeba D. Deterville, Ph.D (Dr. Dee) sees it as her mission and destiny to bring Africentric approaches to support knowledge of the extended-self, cultural alignment, and psycho-spiritual wellness to African ascended peoples.
Dr. Dee is driven by her passion for Africentric identity alignment, African/Black Psychology and, Spirtiness. To enhance her skills and develop her theory Sankofa Praxis she returned to school in her late 40s to earn her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees. Foundational to her sense of wellness is the practice of Jegnaship; which serves as her primary coaching approach. Deepening her commitment to psycho-spiritual wellness and alignment, in 2024, alongside her husband, she was initiated into the Ifa tradition in Nigeria. She received the title and name, Ifanifa Odunbaku Makanjola Ifayemi.
As a developing practitioner of Isese and aspiring Osun initiate, her personal spiritual practice informs her commitment to helping organizations and individuals feel fully connected to their essence.
